Middlesbrough won their first ever League Cup with an entertaining 2-1 win over Bolton at the Millenium Stadium. The Teessiders got off to a dream start, scoring twice inside the first seven minutes courtesy of a tap in from Joseph-Desire Job and a Boudewijn Zenden penalty. Kevin Davies hit back for Bolton shortly after but Middlesbrough managed to hang on for the rest of the game for an historic win.
